We provide full, part time and flexible care and education for children within both the purpose-built setting of the One Point Centre, Clifford Road and our traditional property at 9 Thorneyholme Terrace. The two centres are very close to one another, in the heart of Stanley.

Our nursery operates from two buildings situated within 2 minute walk of each other. Stanley house is a purpose built setting in the One Point Centre, Clifford Road and Stanley House is our traditional property at 9 Thorneyholme Terrace. Both centres are located in the heart of Stanley town centre. 

Both Nursery locations are complete with their own outdoor areas and are furnished and equipped to provide the highest standards in day nursery care and education. We aim to create a warm, welcoming, happy and stimulating environment.  

Care for Pre-school children

The childcare professionals at Emeralds little Gems (Stanley Centre) are dedicated to preparing children for their journey into the school system and into the world ahead. By building confidence and providing the skills needed to engage and embrace the challenges that lie ahead. We promote questioning and listening and encourage trial and experiment through activities and opportunities to build confidence, independence and ability to make good decisions. We also encourage the involvement of parents to support the children as they learn and develop. Our mobile Parent App, allows parents to follow daily progress and activities at nursery plus, providing them with a tool to share and contribute the home achievements and interests. “Through play we learn”

Childcare services for infants

Our younger children are nurtured through a welcoming, caring and safe environment. Our caring staff carefully select games, activities and resources giving the opportunities for children to explore and develop, encouraging social interaction, imagination, self-help and well-being. All ages are given the opportunities to explore the outdoors with our two year olds participating in our woodlands schools program. Parents are encouraged to join in and participate with our Parent APP which provides valuable daily information on sleep and feeding along with progress and development.
