Funding and Fee Assistance

30 hours per week FREE childcare
- Age 9 months to 4 Years 3 & 4 - You may be eligible for 30 hours per week free nursery childcare for 38 weeks per year from the term after your child turns 9 months old, until they start school. Free 30 hours is available for working parents, subject to eligibility.
- Age 2 - 30 hours per week, Free childcare is available for working parents subject to eligibility. Some 2 year olds may be entitled to 15 hour fee childcare for parents in receipt of benefits. Eligibility is dependant on meeting specified criteria.
15 hours per week FREE Childcare
- Age 3 & 4 - ALL 3 & 4 yearl are entitled 15 hours per week free child care for 38 weeks per year. Entitlement is irrespective ov income levels, benefit status or family circumstances.
- Age 2 - 15 hours per week free childcare maybe available to those receiving support, generally either income allowances or benefits.

Other Fee Assistance
Tax - FREE Childcare
For eligible parents for every £8 of childcare you pay the government will top this up by £2, representing a 20% saving on childcare costs. You can receive up to £2,000 per year or £500 every three months, FREE childcare. Eligibility is similar to above.
Tax Credits for Childcare
If you are entitled to "Working Tax Credit", and you and your partner's are each working 16 hours per week you can claim back 70% of your eligible childcare costs. This could be up to £122.50 per week depending on your income. Or if you are claiming "Universal Working Credits" you can claim back 85%.
Support while you Study
Through "Care to Learn" you may be able to claim up to £160 per week childcare whilst you study. Eligibility applies to school, sixth-form college and some further and higher education. For further information, visit www.gov.uk/care-to-learn
